The team from Black Brewing Co celebrated a major win on Saturday evening at the 2021 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards Gala Dinner, presented by Tourism Council WA at Crown Perth’s Grand Ballroom.
Awarded with Gold for the category Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries, Black Brewing Co and sister brand Dune Distilling Co celebrated the accolade with fellow South West businesses including Busselton Jetty, Bunker Bay Resort, Cape Lighthouse and many more.
In it’s 49th year, the industry’s premier awards night showcased the innovation and commitment to business excellence of the State’s leading tourism operators across 27 categories.
The win als means that Black Brewing Co are finalists in the Australian Tourism Awards, due to be held in Queensland in March 2022.
After what has been one of the toughest periods for the industry, the Black Brewing Co team were thrilled with the recognition for their hard work particularly over the past 18 months.
“It was an honour and fantastic surprise to receive a gold medal at the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards.” Kristin Kestell, Director of Black Brewing Co said. “The award is due to the efforts of a hard working team who have pulled together to support the business through some very tough times. We were thrilled to see their results recognised and celebrated. We are very proud to be part of the South West of this state, where fellow business operators and suppliers have all worked incredibly hard, pulling together to put the region in the best place possible for the future.”
With summer festivities about to kick off, Black Brewing Co are excited about the upcoming months.
“We have recently welcomed our new Head Brewer Praveen Bhat to the team and are absolutely thrilled to have him on board. He is a fantastic addition and brings with him a wealth of brewing experience working previously at Gage Roads and Matso’s Brewing.”
In time for the Christmas period, the Margaret River Brewery and Distillery will have new products to release to the market. A new Summer Sour will join the Black Brewing Co’s seasonal releases as well as updates to the Core Range of beers.
Dune Distilling has a beautiful new Pink Grapefruit Gin featuring local pink grapefruit as well as a 2021 Australian Xmas Gin.
